COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN
SVT designed an Alternative Plate Load (APL) apparatus based on government’s proposed design. The requirements for the APL apparatus meet the maximum load of 30,000 pounds. The design conforms to ASTM D1195/D1195M-09, Standard Test Method for Repetitive Static Plate Load Test of Soils and Flexile Pavement Components, for use in Evaluation and Design of Airport and Highway Pavements. SVT provided the following Deliverables included Preliminary Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings, Structural Analysis for Bean Design, Applied Loads and Fixtures; Cost Analysis for Materials, and Final CAD Drawings, Review and Certifications from the Professional Engineer (PE), Draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and instructions for setup and breakdown of the test apparatus.
