BLAST MITIGATION

SVT provided the FAA analysis to the vulnerability of a wall structure to the hazard from a transformer explosion.   We examined the hazard from transformer and used the details to ascertain the severity of the potential explosion and determine the loads on the wall of interest.  SVT evaluated the ability of the wall to withstand the transformer explosion.  Our scientist determined the blast resistance of wall and compared to the explosive loads from a transformer explosive event.  This study assisting in design of a new enclosure for the transformer.
