PROJECT EXPERIENCE
ScaVet Technologies provides engineering, construction management, test and evaluation, security, safety, and program support services for federal agencies and infrastructure programs. The representative projects below highlight ScaVet’s experience supporting complex government missions from technical planning and design through field execution, testing, construction oversight, and program delivery.
U.S. SECRET SERVICE — FACILITY ENGINEERING TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Challenge: A federal training campus required multidisciplinary support across facility planning, design review, construction management, building systems, project execution, and technical documentation.
ScaVet Support: ScaVet served as the prime contractor, providing project managers, quality assurance personnel, cost estimating, CAD support, commissioning, scheduling, systems integration, risk management, and construction-management services. ScaVet personnel also participated in design reviews at the 35%, 65%, and 100% stages.
Result / Value: ScaVet provided an integrated federal facilities team capable of supporting projects from planning and design through construction and commissioning. Documented projects supported under the program ranged from approximately $513,000 to $16 million in design value.
FAA — NATIONAL AIRPORT PAVEMENT TEST FACILITY CONSTRUCTION SUPPORT
Challenge: FAA pavement research activities required coordinated demolition and construction while protecting test infrastructure, instrumentation, subgrade conditions, and adjacent facilities.
ScaVet Support: ScaVet supported the program as a subcontractor to General Dynamics/CSRA. Work included CAD and as-built drawings, site investigation, demolition and construction planning, CPM scheduling, subcontractor management, construction quality control, pavement rehabilitation, equipment coordination, and field documentation.
Result / Value: ScaVet developed and implemented a Construction Quality Control Plan and coordinated demolition of an existing pavement test section and construction of the replacement test item. The documented ScaVet effort had a contract value of approximately $1.25 million and ran from 2016 through 2020.
FAA — ALTERNATIVE PLATE LOAD ENGINEERING SYSTEM
Challenge: FAA pavement research required a specialized test apparatus capable of supporting loads up to 30,000 pounds while meeting applicable engineering and testing requirements.
ScaVet Support: ScaVet developed the Alternative Plate Load apparatus and produced preliminary and final CAD drawings, structural analysis, applied-load and fixture analysis, material cost analysis, Professional Engineer review and certification, draft operating procedures, and setup/breakdown instructions.
Result / Value: The effort provided FAA with a documented engineering package for a purpose-built pavement research system, combining structural analysis, CAD design, professional engineering review, and operational documentation within one technical effort.
DHS TRANSPORTATION SECURITY LABORATORY — OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY SUPPORT
Challenge: A federal research and certification laboratory working with explosive-detection technologies required structured occupational safety, industrial hygiene, laboratory-safety, and hazardous-material controls.
ScaVet Support: ScaVet administered occupational health and safety functions supporting laboratory and test operations. Services included safety planning, SOPs, safety manuals and briefings, job-hazard analysis, air-quality and chemical-exposure monitoring, noise surveys, radiation monitoring, chemical inventory management, SDS control, inspections, training, and corrective-action support.
Result / Value: ScaVet provided an integrated safety program supporting federal research, test, facility, and hazardous-material activities while maintaining documentation and risk-control practices appropriate for a technically demanding laboratory environment.
DHS / TSA — EXPLOSIVE DETECTION & SECURITY TECHNOLOGY TESTING
Challenge: Federal security programs required technical evaluation of emerging and next-generation screening technologies, including engineering requirements, test procedures, certification activities, and system evaluation.
ScaVet Support: ScaVet provided specialized subject-matter expertise supporting security training and engineering activities. Work included development of system requirements, standards, test procedures, and site-survey inputs; engineering and certification testing; vulnerability testing of explosive-detection and security systems; technical-process evaluation; and configuration and engineering-change documentation.
Result / Value: ScaVet supported the technical framework required to evaluate security technologies through documented requirements, controlled testing, engineering analysis, configuration management, and technical recommendations.
TSA — AIR CARGO ON-SCREEN RESOLUTION FIELD EVALUATION
Challenge: TSA required field evaluation of cargo-screening procedures to determine how they performed under real operating conditions and whether procedural changes should be considered.
ScaVet Support: ScaVet reviewed existing information to identify candidate evaluation locations, developed and implemented the test plan and field-data collection approach, gathered screening and stream-of-commerce data at six sites, developed the threat-build plan, and prepared simulated test articles for defined evaluation points.
Result / Value: Following field collection, ScaVet delivered a final test report containing the analyses, results, discussion, and recommended revisions to the evaluated cargo-screening procedures.
U.S. SECRET SERVICE — STORMWATER MANAGEMENT RETROFIT SUPPORT
Challenge: A federal facility stormwater-management system required retrofit work associated with NPDES/MS4 requirements, along with environmental, quality, construction, and post-award coordination.
ScaVet Support: ScaVet supported environmental investigations, reporting, and permit coordination involving Maryland environmental authorities and Fish & Wildlife. Project managers and quality assurance personnel supported construction quality, project meetings, procurement coordination, construction submittal and RFI reviews, and technical coordination with operations and maintenance personnel.
Result / Value: ScaVet provided multidisciplinary environmental and construction-management support linking permitting, quality assurance, contract administration, technical review, and facility operations during the retrofit effort.
NJTA — HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION SUPPORT
Challenge: Multiple New Jersey Turnpike Authority highway projects required qualified construction inspection and technical support across active transportation-infrastructure assignments.
ScaVet Support: SVT Enterprises, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of ScaVet Technologies, LLC, provided construction-inspection support on NJTA projects including roadway resurfacing, the HCE Extension, and curve-advisory-signage work. SVT-E also provides NICET II/III Certified Construction Inspectors and CAD technicians supporting highway construction projects.
Result / Value: The work demonstrates the ScaVet organization’s ability to provide qualified field personnel and technical support across multiple transportation-infrastructure projects.
